2009 ERSA Champions - Norfolk Race Team Norfolk Race TeamWe have an active race group which competes at all levels of competition - see the racing blog for results and news. Our racers take part in club events, regional races and national competitions including the English and British Championships and the club has produced several English and British champions.  Competitions at the national level use a seedpoint system and provide a route into national teams and snow races. As a Club we also have our own Club Championships (and Fireworks) around the 5th of November each year, and a Night Slalom during February or March.

For all those looking to shake down Christmas excess and new years hangovers Race Training returns in 2010 on the 3rd January! clean those boots, sharpen those skis and blow the cobwebs away. Get ready for the return of fitness training. See you Sunday.

2009 Norfolk Club Championship Results!

A cool clear and dry November day brought over 100 club racers and members together for a great days racing, nicely rounded off with some great fireworks at a packed club house. Slalom honours for 2009 went to defending champion Michael Molloy and Georgia Hood in a race that witnessed some very fast times and many personal bests all around. Followed by GS and Dual Slalom, both skiers and snowboarders enjoyed the excellent courses and fierce competition that made so many smile.

TJ Confirmed as British No 1 U21

After a very successful ski racing season in 2008/9 TJ Baldwin has been confirmed as the best British Junior Alpine ski racer. On the new 09/10  season FIS (International Ski Federation) world ranking points list which has just been released, the 19-year-old Norfolk Ski Club racer from Tharston was ranked N1 Junior (U21) in all 5 disciplines (Downhill, Super G, Giant Slalom, Slalom & Super Combined).

2009 ERSA Champions - Norfolk Race Team
Norfolk race team successfully defend their overall Eastern Region Summer League Championship status as the best club in the region. "This is the best ever year that Norfolk Race team have ever had" says Norfolk Race team manager Tony Williams, and the results speak for themselves, coached by our fantastic coaching team, Andy Hood (head) and his excellent assistants, Stuart Riches, Justin Mesut, David Beckett, Darryl Shailes, Simon Beckett & Alex Abbott. All the hard winter training demonstrates what a great commitment we have from members and staff alike.

Winter Race Training Schedule

All team club racers please note that race training has now moved to Sunday mornings 9-11:30am - effective immediately, although first session will occur on 11ct October. There is no training on Friday 2nd October or Sunday 4th as ERSA champs will be taking place at Hemel.
